Project Description

Set up a blog, wiki, or podcast that you’ll be able to use in the future. Your final project should ideally be for use in the classroom, but if you have another idea, please run it by me.

As it shows on the Assignments page, you’ll be keeping a blog that goes through the ADDIE model.  For that assignment I’ll be grading you based on how well you’re using the ADDIE model to make intelligent choices about how to set this project up.

Greenlight

We’ll meet briefly as a group on 8/2, because I want to meet with each of you to discuss what you’ll be doing for your project.  If I like your idea, I’ll give you a green light to proceed.  Have your Analysis entries and plan for you design posted to your blog by 7/31, so that I can read them and be ready for our 1-on-1 meeting.  If I don’t like the direction you’re taking your project, I’ll try and steer you down another path, so please don’t do too much ahead of schedule.

You’ll also have a second grade for the podcast that you create about your project.  That grade will be based on how well you’re able to explain and encourage others to use your new site.

Project Grade

So what is your project grade going to be based on?

I want you to actually set it up.  If you’re doing a blog, I’ll be looking at how well you’ve customized your blog to meet the needs of your users and instructional objectives.

If you’re doing a wiki, I’ll be looking at how it’s organized and what pages you’ve started for your class. Are the instructions clear?  Will people be able to use it?

If you’re doing a podcast project, I’ll be looking at what you’ve set up for your shows. (or your student’s shows).  How will people be able to access them?
